James J. Regan Award Presentation - Nassau County Sports Co: On April 30th, 2007 the Nassau County Sports Commission Held its annual Awards Dinner. An emotional highlight of the Awards Dinner was the presentation of the Inaugural James J. Regan Award in memory of Army Ranger Sergeant Regan of Manhasset, NY, who fell in Iraq in the line of duty. James J. Regan had been a 1998 NCSC Outstanding High School Achievement Award recipient and an All American at Duke University and this award memorializing his name will be presented annually to an exceptional male scholar athlete who best exemplifies Sergeant Regan's love of sport, academic excellence and commitment to his community. This year's recipient was Peter Ottaviano of Cold Spring Harbor High School.«
