Subtitles

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this and would appreciate any help I can get.
All of a sudden I have Spanish subtitles; I didn't do anything, that I'm aware of, to make this happen. I would like to switch to English subtitles.
Also, is there a way to increase the resolution?
I hope I have posted this in the right forum. If not, please let me know.
